Addons option missing under settings
#1
I just upgraded my XBMC Live install using the ppa on my 9.11 system
Can confirm that the XBMC Version is compiled on Aug 19 2010
But I don't see an option for Add on under settings

Also I downloaded the Aeon skin using git and copied it to my .xbmc/addons folder under skin.aeon65, I'm unable to select the skin under skins

I have tried removing xbmc and reinstalling xbmc, no luck

Appreciate if someone can help me fix this issue Huh

I know i might be stating the obvious here but you did upgrade the confluence skin as well right ? Just a thought.

I made sure there was no skin in the usr/xbmc/skin folder before I installed xbmc

it then installed the confluence skin under the skin folder..

There was no addons folder under /home/xbmc/.xbmc, I created it as well

there is no addons folder under usr/xbmc, should I create one there as well ?

thanks

Grab a debug log - it tells all.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.

Hi,
I'm new to xbmc and installed it yesterday on W7.
I would like to try the "Transparency" skin.
The download page states that it is now available as an addon and gives the following instruction to load it:

Settings > Add-ons > Get Add-ons > XBMC.org Add-ons > Skin > Transparency

The problem is when I go into setting I cannot find the add-ons option/setting Eek
Any idea where or how can I have setting add-ons option? Huh
Thanks

My guess is you installed the 9.11 Camelot release instead of Dharma beta 3.
