Hey guys! I am the Editor in Chief of thebestcasescenario.com and am working on an article series on Planning, Building and Enjoying your HTPC.
I am using XBMC as the main UI for the HTPC because, well... XBMC is just awesome! My problem is that I can not get XBMC to "see" the skins I install into the c\program files\XBMC\skins folder. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and the second release of Dharma.
I have also tried placing them in the c\users\pc\appdata\local\XBMC\addons location as some threads here suggest. No matter what I do, the new skins (transparency and back row) will not show up in the settings>appearence>skins menu. When I click on the confluence theme it brings up the list box but confluence is the only skin to show up.
Can anyone lend a bit of help on this?

in dharma skins are add-ons. the skins folder is not used. the skins needs to be in the new format. for instance you can install some other skins through the add-ons browser (~5 of them now iirc).
