Spiff knows of this, but in case anyone else is working on the tv end:
http://tvdb.zsori.com/?tab=xml

The database is being used by the main MediaPortal and Meedio plugins for tv shows and I'm working on multilingual support as well.

I wrote scrapers for

http://jadedvideo.com/
and http://www.mvdbase.com

I found jadedvideo much better than iafd.com...

Spiff has them and will put them together with some other changes on the svn sometime this week.

If you have any other scraper suggestions shoot. I'm not into anime (animenfo.com) or dvds (dvdloc8.com) so I don't really have an incentive to work on those..

porn is in (since they fall into the 'movie' content category). mdvbase will have to wait for after tv shows

I've been searching everywhere for the answer to this, but I can't seem to find any information...

From what I've seen, with spiff's new scraper system in the new SVNs it seems that scrapers have been written for

imdb
jadedvideo

Scrapers have been requested for:

Anime
TV.com

Has anyone started writing the scraper for TV.com? I've wanted one of those for as long as I've run XBMC, and I'd be happy to help, especially if someone has the format that TV.com uses that could be scrapable. I've taken a quick look at a source page from their site, and it looks easily regex'able for some of the actor/director information; however, there doesn't seem to be a standard leadin to use [or div tag, table id, etc etc] for the episode description, nor an easy way to turn something like

Golden_Girls_S01E01.avi
into a 'more searchable on tv.com'
Golden_Girls_Pilot.avi [or whatever S01E01 is named... Cant say I have an extensive golden girls collection myself]

If anyone has any insight, recon, or knows of someone in the process of or written a TV episode lookup, I'd love to know about it..

Thanks,

You didnt search very hard... the recent alterations to the video database (including the scraper modifications) are all due and thanks to spiff who is working on implimenting a tv.com (or similar scraper).

Stay tuned.
