You can connect xbmc using a cable and then still use android as a wireless remote.

I installed XBMC Live w/o issue on the hd-nd01 just now. I am though having a problem with sound over HDMI....I got nothing. Any ideas? I see a few of you said it worked out of the box. I have all my settings correct it seems(same as my other XBMC box, but that's over a windows 7 install). Is it a drive issue maybe?

Unmute those weird channels under programs > audio mixer
Go over to audio settings and obviously change all your stuff over to hdmi
If you aren't getting sound then, its probably because you don't support dolby digital, so turn that option off under audio settings.

I bought my MAG a while back and its been great ever since. I don't use the WiFi so I cant speak on behalf of that, but I just watched some Hak5 last night on Rev3 and there were no issues at all. The only problem im having is under XBMC Live where my MCE remote wont wake it up from standby, but its just a software issue and works fine under 7.

yessir i did, and yessir, it will. Overall, I love the box. Dualbooting Windows 7 and XBMC Live without a hitch. Horrible wifi signal is my only complaint.

Excellent! I ordered mine last week, should be here after the new year. Did you have to do anything special with the Live version? Drivers, bios updates, etc?

I am thinking about getting one of these as well.. but I want wireless to work. Is there any reason I couldn't change out the PCI-E wireless card with a different one?

andrew307: Nice, i think you'll like it! I didn't do anything special, I just installed the Live .iso from a unetbootin prepared usb in the regular ol' fashion way.
If you're wanting to try wireless (which you'll need to be within 20 uninterrupted feet from the router it seems like) you'll need to learn how to enable wireless through command terminal, which isn't too difficult.
I only had two real obstacles initially. First, learning where all the settings were in the bios... it was a bit too difficult to boot from usb in my opinion, i don't remember what I changed, but initially booting from usb wasn't an option in the boot priority list. You may also have to change some settings within XBMC to get audio over hdmi to work, but nothing too difficult. All in all it probably took me 3 hours to set up the dual boot, and get XBMC running the way i wanted it, on my first try. I think I could do it significantly faster now though (45 mins?)

actionfreak: I'm not really all that great with hardware... this is why I didn't buy a bare bones system. However, if you can find a card that fits the case I don't think it should be a problem, on the other hand, a user, fishoil, on the Linux/Live forums, suggested this, and said it worked for him: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6833130066

@thanamesjames: Thanks for the info! I have no interest in wireless. Ill be streaming all my content (mostly 1080p MKvs) through a gigabit wired network from my UnRaid server. Can wait for it show up! Stupid military shipping... takes forever!
