I found that for my ATV with BCM 70012 the 3.6.0 r156 performs better than r174 which creates memory leaks more easily

How did you compare? What were the indicators? Backend: Windows 7 file share + MySql on wired 1GB Frontend 1: ATV OSX 3.02 w/CHD 012 + XBMC Dharma 10.0 + CHD r174 on wired FE Frontend 2: Intel Atom 330/2Gb/ATI HD4350 + Windows 7 + XBMC Dharma 10.0 with DXVA + MySql DB on wired 1GB |

Play the same file compare frames dropped actually I have compared all CrystalHD driver version and the best performance for my set up is r26

You probably mean r174...which is the BCM70015 release the others do not work

ah that is 3.8.0 that crashes with BCM70012 so not an option
