Ned Scott Wrote:As of this moment it is safe to upgrade iOS on the ATV2. You can get an untethered jailbreak and everything should set back up just fine. XBMC doesn't really care what version of iOS you use, so nothing should change there. If you need to update for Netflix then go head. Might want to back up your userdata folder via SSH/SFTP so you don't have to start from scratch, though.

Any solution to the problem "Error scanning media, would you like to continue scanning?" when updating library?
Thanks in advance
Ned Scott Wrote:Yes. A new build done yesterday in the unofficial semi-nightly thread. Just follow the instructions in the first post. Honestly, it's just as stable as the "official" builds.
The library scan is still going slow, but at least it works now.

If your having all sorts of garbage noise instead of the proper soundtrack with HDMI, DTS and/or AC3, etc... enabled in XBMC, go back to the ATV's setup menu and change the audio to 16 bit (or whatever makes your receiver work).
This fixed everything on my Pioneer VSX 920 receiver.
