Hi,

i have a openElec installation with tvHeadend service. I have a digital-devices cine-s2 SAT-card and want to scan astra 19.2 channels.
So, i have tried two ways:
1. "Add dvb network by location" and then selected Astra 19.2. After that, only 8 services will be added, no more (after reboot, also no more services will be found). Network ID was set to 1 for this adapter and "Auto detect muxes" was set to ON.
2. After that i removed the muxes and addes manually via "Add mux(es) manually" with settings "frequency": 11953500, "symbol_rate": 27500000, "fec": "3/4", "delivery_system": "SYS_DVBS", "constellation": "QPSK", "polarisation": "Horizontal". I have read this in another thread. But also the same: only 8 services were found.

In my log-file, the following error appears:

Jun 10 17:59:10 openelec daemon.notice tvheadend[1368]: START: HTS Tvheadend version 0.90.0.5265.ga257d started, running as PID:1368 UID:0 GID:0, settings located in '/storage/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/service.multimedia.hts-tvheadend', dataroot: <Embedded file system>
Jun 10 17:59:10 openelec daemon.debug tvheadend[1368]: AVAHI: Adding service 'Tvheadend'
Jun 10 17:59:10 openelec daemon.err tvheadend[1368]: xmltv: No output from "/storage/.xbmc/addons/service.multimedia.hts-tvheadend/bin/tv_grab_file"
Jun 10 17:59:11 openelec daemon.info tvheadend[1368]: AVAHI: Service 'Tvheadend' successfully established.

So what can i do to solve this (i have read a lot in some threads, but i cannot find the post which will help me).
Is it a problem with permissions Confused
Help me please.

Thanks, XBMCManni

I bought a Hauppage HVR-950Q USB tuner today, and I installed TVHeadend but it refuses to work with Analog. My Log file says something about my tuner not having a MPEG2 encoder.

Any help appreciated.

@XBMCManni :
If I remember well (I now use vdr for quite a long time), I had this issue too and strangely resolved it by not choosing 19.2E but 21.6E (or 23.5E I don't remember...). That was also the case with w_scan...
Think to keep "Auto detect muxes" set to ON.
I agree, it's not really intuitive but I think it should work Smile

PS : For the xmltv error, I think you'll have to configure a tv_grab in EPG options, but that's optionnal.

Updated to the latest TVHeadend pulse eight build this morning via apt-get and there seems to be a serious problem. Seemed to be functional to begin with and I was able to log in to the web interface, but that stopped and I now get 'Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data' when attempting to access it. Additionally, I am unable to stream anything.

However, the service can be seen to be running in top (without any unusual CPU utilization) and when I restarted the service it runs the XMLTV grabber as per normal, but it does not solve the above issues.

Any ideas?
