From i have read i tried to create a new menu item from just adding something to the Favorites section then going to the Settings-Main Menu-then to Menu Items- I then click on new item and it just disappears and i get nothing to pop or any options. how do i get it so i can create these menu items.

goto xbmc directory and goto userdata -> profile folder
find guisettings.xml and open in notepad.

remove mainmenu_1path to custom_mainmenu_10
save and close
open xbmc again

Hi,

I am also having the same problem. I'm currently using XBMC 10.0 and the Aeon Showmix skin.

I have added the TVCatchUp plugin and this now displays under Videos > Video-Addons

I would now like to make this a menu item on my home screen. I have selected the TVCatchUP plugin and pressed 'I' on my remote and added this to favourites.

I then go to Settings > Customise > Configure Menus > Home Menu > Empty select to add favourite. When i click on this nothing is displayed.

I have searched for the string of text about in the relevant file to no avail.

Any other suggestions?
