i used seasonpass to jailbreak the appletv2 with 5.0.1 ios firmware.

▪ apt-get install wget
▪ wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16129573/com.nito.deb
▪ dpkg -i com.nito.deb
▪ apt-get update
▪ apt-get install com.nito.nitotv
▪ killall appletv
after the commands are inputted:
apt-get install com.nito.nitotv
apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2
it says that there is an update and should type the command apt-get update or fix soultion.

That is the only version that works on iOS 5.1 at the moment so even though there is an update (which there shouldnt be :S) if it is all working then there's nothing needed to be done.
