aligning file and library views
#1
Hi all,

I am having trouble aligning files in a directory with those in the library..

Here's the file view (http://img691.imageshack.us/i/fileview.png/)
and the corresponding library view (http://img602.imageshack.us/i/libraryview.jpg/)

I've tried cleaning the library but to no avail, every time I add the directory it returns four episodes that don't exist.

any way of fixing this?

The way you've named it, the scraper is looking for series 20, episodes 10, 04, 09, 17 & 50.

Give it a name like s01e01 where the number after s relates to the season, and the number after e relates to the episode number, and you'll be right. If you're not sure, search for the episode at thetvdb.com and make your title match.

ahh, never though of that.

It's recorded from one of our local stations. I was sorta hoping it could extract the details for the metadata. I'll look to rename and see how it goes.

Thanks.

Here you go man: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=TV_...onventions

Standard naming convention for TV: show.name.s04e10.720p.hdtv.x264-releasegroup

Everything after the name, season and episode are extra data from file rippers to help you quickly know what kind of file it is. The scrapers look for the first part though. There's some variations of that that will still scrape, but I doubt there's any scraper out there that WON'T scrape the above example.
