I use XBMC only with a remote.
When the onscreen keyboard comes up there are 2 ways to type, either using the directional and ok buttons or using the numpad like a text message.
I prefer the text message method as I can type much quicker that way.
However there are a couple of things that make this method uneccessarily difficult.
1. The deafult cursor postion on the keyboard is not on the 'done' button, so when I have finished typing instead of just pressing ok, I still have to use the cursor to move to the done position.
2. When using the 0 button to type the number 0 all the symbols attached to the key come first so you have to uneccessarily scroll through many rarely used symbols.
If these two minor difficulties could be fixed then typing on XBMC without the use of a keyboard would be much easier.
