Mac Mini + new Samsung LED TV + 1080p = Audio lip-sync problem
#1
Question
Hi.

I use XBMC 10.1 on my Mac Mini which I've been using flawlessly on my 800x600 projector.

After I connected my new 40" Samsung LED TV, however, the video is always delayed by 250ms compared to the audio. The audio runs directly from the Mac to my amplifier (via optical out). I use the native 1080p resolution.

Is it possible to set up XBMC to always delay the video by 250ms by default? Are there other ways of solving this?

Mac Mini specs: Macmini3,1, 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1 GB RAM, 128MB Nvidia Gforce 9400M

(EDIT: I see that a similar question has been posted earlier, without any answer. Is there no hope?)

(EDIT2: There seems to be a problem with 24hz output and true fullscreen. Doh.)

This was pretty much solved by enabling "Adjust display refresh rate to match video" and "Sync playback to display" in Video settings » Playback.

I was too quick, video stutters with those options set :-(

If your tv have video post processing option, might want to try turning that off if it is available.
