the 40mm fan on my e350m1 motherboard bit the dust.

i replaced it with the only 40mm fan i could find in town, which was a pos radioshack model that is about 10x louder and has no speed control, nor does it fit properly.

anyone replaced one of these? what'd you use?

if your under windows O/S, just use SPEEDFAN application to silence it!

if it had a speed control wire, then yes i could possibly do that. it doesnt have the yellow control wire. just black/red. and it's loud as all.

Scythe fans have good review. Noctua as well. I guess you'll be satisfied with one of them.
