A look at the board before it goes in the case

This is my first picoPSU and I am very impressed so far by it. I couldn't believe how small it was.

Look at that horrible cable management

Just an SSD in the case for now. Will add a blu ray later. Also that is not the SSD I bought. I decided to put the new SSD in my main computer. Why should my HTPC have a better hd. This build will be using a Crucial C300 Sata3 6Gb/s SSD

My thermaltake fan/heatsink is a tight fit. I don't think I can put in a 3.5" in there. I think I will only be able to put another 2.5" with the bracket.

Overall I am very impressed with this case. Because I needed to buy the picPSU and power adapter I'm including them in the case price. So I spent $206. Was it worth it? It's hard to say. I still need to buy the slot loading blu ray and the CIR module to take full advantage of the case. The build quality of this case is very impressive. This is also the quietest HTPC I've built as well.

I have only installed Windows on the case so far. I will be installing XBMC later tonight. I will report back with temperatures and such later.

In conclusion, so far this HTPC is beagle and corgi approved

That's almost identical to my build with a few exceptions.

1. I don't see why you needed a 3.5 to 2.5 adapter. The ITX7 can take both 3.5 and 2.5 drives.
2. I put a Sony BD drive in mine a couple of months ago.
3. I went with an Intel i3-2100 for $99 and used the stock HSF, it did require slightly bending the 3.5" drive bay ears and made the 3.5" bay unusable, but who uses 3.5" for HTPC anymore?
4. I just recently added a Radeon 6450 to fix 24P sync with the XBMC build that has the HD audio patch included.

Why choose H67M-ITX/HT over the H67M-ITX . What does HT offer (home theater add ons); i thought it was just the IR receiver and a remote which only hooks up to the motherboard, also wifi. Any other advantages of choosing the HT over the base?

is there any other difference other than the remote and ir receiver. I think HT also has wifi. If that is it, looks like the non HT is better deal at $87, can use that money to buy the Harmony one.

Hey i have the same build and looking to replace the stock core i3 cooler with yours. Can you please give us an update on the temps?

Right now since there is barely any clearance from the cooler and the hdd rack i am getting around 50 C idle.

Thanks!

I like this case and build. Is there any way to fit a gpu on to it? Even a half height would be fine

There is a PCI/E slot in the rear panel. If you are building a silent i3 machine, why do you need to install a discrete GPU? Intel iGPU is more than enough to playback blu-ray 1080P video and bitstreaming HD audio.....

>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!
