[RELEASE] Irish TV (Video) Addon, RTE, TV3, AerTV, TG4 v.2.1.1
v 2.1.1.
RTE Live is not working since yesterday.

Dialog box saying:
Stream already playing / Unable to open stream
- To continue stop all other streams (try pressing u'x')
- If you are sure there are no other streams.
Ok

Then it fails.
I tested previous versions and it happens the same.
Any ideas?
Thanx.

Hi Mossy,

I can't get the irish tv addon working it keeps saying script failed. I am currently living in Canada would that be a reason for it being like that. I am running the xbmc of the mx2 g-box. Can you please help me fix this problem thanks.

Can also confirm RTE Live is not working.

Let me know if I can supply any debug information.

@h18a51xbmcfreak / denartha RTE One and RTE Two live are working for me, so a debug log would be helpful.

@Ronymc24 There's a link to the wiki in the first post that explains the options for people abroad. I think most end up using a VPN or a DNS forwarder like Overplay's SmartDNS.

When I posted my last thread was the 9/05/2014. My machine's running 12.3 Xbmc. I found out this morning that the current stable release is Gotham 13.0. So I'll test Irish TV 2.1.1 on Xbmc 13.0 and I will share with ya the results. Hail !

Hi, as Mossy said in his reply, you need to use either a VPN or DNS masking service. I live in Asia and use a DNS service, that works very well. The two best options are Overplay or UnoTelly. Just Google them and you will find their web sites.

I also use the MX box and it is easy to change your DNS settings on it, have posted the instructions, on here previously so scroll back a few pages. However, if you have any difficulties let me know and I will try to help.

Good luck ..

hi mossy .great job with the irish tv player . its great . alot of users esp for the soaps.
iv signed up wit aer tv and magnet to get the premium channels . do these channels automatically add on to the xbmc add on as i don't seem to be able to get them . it may be a mistake on their end also .

Same for me. Running OpenElec 4.0 (previously 3.2), Irish TV v2.1.1, on a Raspberry Pi.

Log from download attempt:
Code:
21:21:09 T:2707420240  NOTICE: _Cache_CreateKey : 'url: http://feeds.rasset.ie/rteavgen/player/playlist/?type=iptv&format=json&showId=10281165'
21:22:28 T:2707420240  NOTICE: Download : 'Starting download: /usr/bin/rtmpdump --rtmp "rtmpe://fmsod.rte.ie:1935/rtevod" -o "/storage/.xbmc/The Zoo_10281165.flv" --app "rtevod" --playpath "mp4:/2014/0508/20140508_rteone-thezoo_cl10281165_10281177_260_drm_/manifest/20140508_rteone-thezoo_cl10281165_10281177_260_drm_/manifest_512k.mp4" --swfVfy "http://www.rte.ie/player/assets/player_468.swf"'
21:22:28 T:2707420240  NOTICE: Download : '"/usr/bin/rtmpdump" --rtmp "rtmpe://fmsod.rte.ie:1935/rtevod" -o "/storage/.xbmc/The Zoo_10281165.flv" --app "rtevod" --playpath "mp4:/2014/0508/20140508_rteone-thezoo_cl10281165_10281177_260_drm_/manifest/20140508_rteone-thezoo_cl10281165_10281177_260_drm_/manifest_512k.mp4" --swfVfy "http://www.rte.ie/player/assets/player_468.swf"'

The file "/storage/.xbmc/The Zoo_10281165.flv" is created, and running "ps" shows me that rtmp is running (and taking up 30-50% CPU), but "ls" reports that the flv file stays at 0 bytes, no matter how long I leave it running.

I'm also getting the RTE catch up failing at 50% as others have mentioned. All other streams / sources appear to work as normal.

Log file indicates an issue with rtmp header & codec parameters. Maybe RTE have changes their cofiguration for this.
