Win Keymap for Dualshock 4
#1
I recently picked up a Dualshock 4 controller for use with games and XBMC but I'm having issues correctly mapping the keys. I've been using x360ce in order to get games to function properly with the controller but doesn't appear to work the same with XBMC. I'm just wondering the best way to manually create a keymap XML for this controller? I have tried a bit with debug mode but wasn't very successful. Is there any GUI applications or addons where I can simply press the buttons for the action I want and it will generate a keymap XML?

Also, any chance the XBMC will support the DS4 in the near future? It simply shows up as a generic usb controller.

I created a basic keymap for the Sony PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 Controller.

### INSTALL ###
copy the file 'joystick.Sony.PLAYSTATION®4.Controller.xml' to %appdata%\XBMC\userdata\keymaps
example: C:\Users\spacy\AppData?\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\keymaps

Tested with DualShock 4 controller connected with USB-cable with Windows default driver under Windows 8.1 Update 1 x64 and XBMC v13.1

The analog axes (left stick, right stick, L2, R2) do not work correctly, so only the digital buttons were mapped.

You should also take a look at the Steam Launcher from http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=157499
It allows you to launch Steam in big picture mode. Steam big picture mode supports the DualShock 4 Controller out of the box and offers a web browser with game pad controls.

Thanks for the plug Smile sounds like you guys are using the ds4 via a USB cable? I use a ds3 with ScarletCrush's bluetooth drivers and the controller is treated like a xbox360 controller so no further config is needed in xbmc or games that support the 360 controller. Works really well, and from what I've read it supports the ds4 too. Only minor downside is that once the drivers are installedthe Bluetooth adapter can only be used for ds controllers but a $6aud ebay dongle works fine so that's a moot point.

(Not sure what's up but that link is showing the adapter at $19 when I paid $6.99... But it should give you a idea of what to look for)
