Transparency! - A Fanart Skin v2.11

I know, it's been a long time since there was an update...but i though it was best to wait till the next stable xbmc release,
before i would put the next Transparency! version out in the open.
This time i focussed, amogst others, on adding some more animations to the skin. It will give you a more dynamic experience
when you navigate around the skin. Another thing that's changed are most of the dialog, popup and info screens.
Many of those dialogs have been replaced by fullscreen equivalents, giving the skin more room to display the relevant information.
Another nice new feature is to have a fanart slideshow on movie/tv/ipod screen on the homepage (Thanx francyboy for the idea
and Steveb for the backdrops). The last thing worth mentioning is the new options available in the music OSD: you can now have
a fanart slideshow in the background or a CD wall showing the cover images of albums in your collection. There's also an option
to let the artist biography and album review scroll across the screen while playing music.

So what's new ?
- fanart on movie/tv/ipod screen on homepage (thanx francyboy & Steveb)
- changed font colors in a lot of places (more blue, less grey)
- added cd wall to musicvisualisation window
- added fanart slideshow to musicvisualisation window
- added artist & album info to musicvisualisation window
- added thumb view for actors in movie info dialog
- fanart view is now available all throughout the skin
- added icon view for songs
- added repeat and shuffle button to music osd
- added imdb top250 listing to fanart view
- added play disc home menu button
- added audio codec flag to music visualisation
- added bitrate & samplerate info to music visualisation
- modified move time label to top on homescreen
- added progressbar to now playing video/song info on home page
...and about 70 other changes (check changelog.txt included in the skin)

Transparency! v2.11 is now available, get it here.

note: Transparency! will only work with the 9.11 Camelot release of xbmc (or a more recent svn version)!

New users, old info:
What is Transparency!? Short answer: a fanart skin. The main goal of Transparency! is showing your fanart, fullscreen, in all of the views, all of the time.
Besides this, it also tries to support every neat new feature xbmc has to offer. To save everyone a lot of time and trouble hacking the xml code themselves,
all of these new features are already included in the skin, pre-configured and enabled by default (wherever possible).

- subtitle download button for Opensubtitles_OSD script
- skin support for home theater experience script
- new weather layout for weather.com plus plugin
- Animated backgrounds with slide and zoom effects
- Recently added items on the home screen
- Watch trailers in a preview window in the fanart view (see next post)
- Media Flagging for Movies, TV-Shows and Music
- Genre Folder Icons for Movies, TV-Shows and Music
- Weather Fanart based on current weather conditions
- Home Weather Background based on current weather conditions
- Animated Weather Icons in Home and MyWeather
- CD / DVD Case
- Horizontal Home Menu
- ClearArt for TV Shows, visible on the info window and when pausing an episode.
- cdArt with added animations
- Configurable Items in the Home Menu
- Fanart in Filemode
- Fanart for Games
- 3D Coverflow view for Artists and Songs
- Fanart view for all sections in xbmc.
- Icon view for Albums (similar to DVD Thumb view)
- Fully hide the Left Menu on all pages, it slides in when needed

Many of these items can be enabled/disabled to your own liking in Skin Settings.

Questions / Problems:
- First thing to do is read the FAQ
- If that leaves your question unanswered, please post it in a new thread.
(please include xbmc version and the plaform you're using. a screenshot and a Debug Log can be very helpful too!)

Changelog:
An up-to-date changelog is available: here.

Some extra info on how to enable the new features in Transparency!

- Fanart slideshow on Home Screen
Settings > Skin Settings > Backgrounds > Movies/TV Shows/Music > Fanart

by default the skin will use xbmc's fanart cache folders for this, so it will work right out of the box.
if you enable this feature, an 'options' button will show up, allowing you to specify a custom folder and/or to disable the slide & zoom animations.
note: xbmc uses the same folder for Movies and TV Shows fanart, if you want to separate them, have a look at the fanart splitter script.

- Fanart slideshow instead of visualisation
Settings > Skin Settings > General > Show fanart slideshow instead of visualisation

instead of a static fanart image or visualisation, you can also have a fanart slideshow in the visualisation screen.
to make use of this feature, you'll have to create an 'extrafanart' folder in each Artist directory:
/Music/Artist/extrafanart/several-images.jpg

next, select your main music folder in:
Settings > Skin Settings > General > Music folder path

- CD Wall instead of visualisation
Settings > Skin Settings > General > Show CD Wall instead of visualisation

to use option, you need to create a directory containing your album thumbs.
there's currently no way to automate this, but copying the cached thumbs from the userdata/Thumbnails/Music/0-f might be the quickest way to set this up.
next, select your custom folder in:
Settings > Skin Settings > General > CD Wall folder path

note: in the Music OSD there's a button available to toggle between Visualisation / Fanart / Fanart Slideshow / CD Wall

- Artist bio and Album review in visualisation screen

if you like to do some reading while the visualisation screen is active, you can hit the 'i' button on the Music OSD.
this will show the artist biography and album review, scrolling across the screen.

note: due to limitations in xbmc 9.11, this feature may not work in all cases.
it will fine with recent xbmc svn versions.

Thanks for the update ronie. Really enjoying your skin. I was wondering though, is it possible to turn off the cases used for CD/Poster art? I'd rather just have the raw picutres displayed.

nope, you'll have to mod the skin or remove the case images from the Textures file yourself.

the 'xbox friendly' version is made and maintained by Bram77.
i've notified him of the new release. it's up to him whether or not he'll add it to:
