Hi Guys,

Just installed live onto my older Athlon 64 3200+, when it scans a source for new files it basically stops responding to other user input until the library scan is done.

I just had camelot running on Windows 7 on the same hardware and whenever it would scan for files the system was still responsive and allowed me to play videos etc, this just doesnt seem possible at the moment.

Any ideas? Also how do i go about getting access to terminal to start an update?

Use less threads for the background info loader. There's a knob in advancedsettings.xml. See wiki.

Ah ok, just out of interest why is this handled differntly between a linux base OS and the windows OS? Wouldnt the value in advanced settings.xml be the same in either port?

Will give it a crack when my tv is free, thanks for the help
