Adding sources
#1
I just scrapped my entire movie collection with ember media manger and am now trying to add the collection into XBMC. However when adding the source XBMC ignores all my posters, fan art, and extra thumbs and starts an internet search for all my movies. All movies are in their own folder containing their specific data.

Am I adding the source wrong?

When you set content on movies make sure you select "use folder names for lookups"

Are you actually seeing different artwork or are you going by the notification downloading movie information because it always says this even if its getting your local artwork nfo etc

I tried selecting that option and it still is reaching out to the internet for the media data, any suggestions?

Are your .nfo's named moviename.nfo as i had similar issues to yours. Just tell ember to create only movie.nfo and then delete all other .nfo files from your folder as it should check for these first before re scrapeing from the internet at least this worked for me.

I've had no problem with ember creating these files:

Image

Though there has been some scrapper issues about 2 weeks back, but minus that type of hiccup, never really have a problem.

Instead of us guessing a debug log while scanning will get to the bottom of the issue..

Strange because if i have moviename.nfo xbmc allway's rescrapes my movies but if i use movie.nfo it loads all my local files with no problem at all. what build are you using? i'm on r31595-trunk

I'm sorry but how do I provide a debug log?

Also my nfo files are named after each movie, for example:

16 blocks = 16 Blocks.nfo

Yeah I've never had a problem and mine aren't labeled with the movie name its not needed when they are in folders only when all your movies are in the same directory

You really only need the following files

fanart.jpg
movie.tbn
movie.nfo

movie-trailer (optional)
extrathumbs (optional)

If you want to know how to post a debug log the info is here

I also took a screenshot if that helps:

Unless I'm missing something looking at your log its using your nfo, fanart and your thumbs the only thing its downloading is actor images which you need to turn off if you don't want it to which is done from settings > video

I did ask you before if your artwork was different even if you turn it off you will still get the downloading notification as xbmc adds all the info to your database and caches all your images, it doesn't use all your local stuff on the fly it uses cached ones

BTW you should post logs to pastebin

First of I want to thank you very much for your time.

That indeed was the case with XBMC downloading the actor pictures causing the import to take forever and causing me to think it was scrapping from the internet.

I now have all movies in XBMC but however am running into one last issue with the scrap.

The boxes that display 480p, AVC1, 2.0, etc. are not showing up in XBMC but are showing up in Ember.

for example in this screenshot:

Any suggestions?

If that is an original version of Aeon native flagging wasn't implemented properly and doesn't work you need to use one of the modded versions that are more up to date for example

Last question and I promise I will go away lol. I will say though the help on this forum has been amazing over the past week making my XBMC start so much easier.

Anyway, I do realize that my Aeon is out of date and you provided those links to the mods. However I cannot find a download link anywhere on those threads. Do you know where I can download one of them and do you have a recommendation?

Don't apologize for asking questions everyone starts off this way Smile

It would seem ekim232 has removed his mod but you can still get phil65's mod from the first link, go to the github link on the first page of his thread and click "Download Source" top right and choose zip or tar
