I am looking at my first build and I have read the articles and even defined my group (6), but still I'm looking to hear from users that have already been there. This setup is going to be on a 50" Phillips in my living room in which I'd like to run 1080p streaming video. I have have $500 to spend for this HTPC and want to spend my money wisely. First, what would you build for this amount of money? Second, how is the picture quality for addons like Sportsdevil and Free cable since this HTPC will be my cable cutter. Third, which kinds of non-necessary hardware should I add (remote, graphics card) can I fit for my budget? Finally, What other addons would you suggest through the third party repositories? Thanks!
